Less than an hour from Geneva is the quaint mountain village of Annecy, which sits on a crystal clear lake of the same name. It’s called the Venice of France because of its canals, bridges and small streets. We visited it on a Sunday which happened to be the market day. The small streets were bustling with locals and tourists alike.

We only spent a few hours in Annecy on our way to Lyon, but it was definitely worth the stop!
